GROWING KNOWLEDGE

INTERACTIVE ADVENTURES & ART

A heartfelt area for me is human rights, and in particular human rights for children. I have worked in a project in which learning children about human rights was the essential ingredient. An exhibition children and grown ups can visit individually for an educational interactive museum or visit in groups or a school class for collaboration through an interactive adventure.

RIGHTS FOR CHILDREN

Institute for Human Rights @ Cph

Interactive adventure for human rights..

Information to the weaker part

Children are often being neglected by adults. The adults simply don't tell children about children's and adults' rights. If grown ups neglect or don't tell children about their rights, there are much greater risks of grown ups violating human rights for children.

Collaboration & reflection

Children were using an adventure in which they can collaborate in order to go through pedagogic stages of learning.

moving toward a better society

An interactive adventure informing children about their rights, and presenting the wounds of society to them -that is - examples of bad things that already has happened. Presenting the wound and discussing it is one small step closer towards a healed wound; and in the long run a better society.

THE LAME - CLAUDIO

Interactive Art

The lame, the paralyzed

a sculpture and an organism. An intellect.

the name Claudio means lame.

Audio is here the living part of the sculpture.

To come alive, Claudio needs contact with people..

the Hope of human contact

when people move around Claudio, dancing, or moving, Claudio comes alive and expresses sounds and rythms He speaks to us all, In interaction or passive audiences.

Music arise - through movements and dance

We control Claudio as an instrument, and Claudio has his own life similar to a living soul. There is a balance between communicating and control.

'A handful of Museums showed ingerest, though my partner René Lundgaard Kristensen preferred starting regular jobs prior to artistic career and touring with interactive art installations, in a time in which there was a great demand for interactive art, only few projects were available.'

THE BOTTLED SOUL

Gothernburg City Museum

Bottles stored with sounds.

The encapsuled soul

Bottled stored with sound ageing over time.

maturing and growing to become more valuable as time goes by.

The sound is stored in bottles, ageing delicately, though not freed.

And is finally freed when someone decides to listen

the soul is set free when listened to.

THE AWAKENED BODY

Wake up Light

Waking up with light.

Sleeping as a child

I was studying dreams and how we sleep.

I was looking at nature around us, how it comes alive.

The world around wakes up first,

softly, If we can wake up softly, as we are deisgned to. Are there health benefits.

a Healthy way of starting a new day

With a group of students I made a healthy proposal of a new way of waking up - with gradually increasing light and sound.

'four years ahead of Phillips Wake up Light, this project was presented at the 10 years anniversary of Masters Programme @ IT University of Gothenburg, Chalmers as 'things we did first'.
